In a recent interview, the CEO of King Digital Entertainment said that Candy Crush was “the worst game in the world”. This is despite the fact that it has been downloaded more than two billion times and generated $5.6 billion in revenue since its release.
The worst mission types in games is a topic that has been debated for years now. There are many different ways to categorize the worst missions in games, but there is one type of mission that is always present and it’s the kill 10 rats.
Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games. I went through the game approximately eight times, each time on a different difficulty level. I like nearly every aspect of this game, and I believe that almost all of the missions are enjoyable and fascinating in their own right. But there’s one mission in particular that I can’t stand. It’s the mission in which you must locate three lost dwarves in the Isle of Mists. I’m like this every time I start a new game “That’s correct. I need to track down those dwarfs once again.”
Every mission in the game has a specific goal. Whether it’s to advance the plot, deepen Geralt’s relationships with his friends, or provide tiny facts and insights into the environment around you, it’s all part of the game. But I can’t think of any reason for this assignment. Maybe CDPR intended players to spend some time on the island instead of simply coming and departing as soon as Geralt discovers Ciri? Even if it was their goal, I’m not sure why gamers would want to go exploring on the island. It’s not like Skellige or Kaer Morhen, where the landscape is really stunning and makes you want to go exploring. It lacks any unique weaponry or equipment. It doesn’t have any particular opponents that are only found in that region. It’s simply a very ordinary location to which you only travel for one mission and never return. Yes, you do not return to Gaunter O’Dimm’s realm, and this, too, leads you on a goose chase. But the difference with Gaunter O’Dimm’s world is that A: If you manage your time well, you can earn a lot of prizes and a rare weapon in Gaunter O’Dimm’s world, and B: You don’t have to explore the world if you don’t want to, and you can simply go right to defeating O’Dimm. With the three dwarfs, you don’t have that choice. You MUST go looking for them, and you MUST explore the whole island. Is it required by the plot? No, not at all. If Geralt arrived and was permitted to enter the cabin right away, the narrative wouldn’t alter much. Unless you obtain the ending when Ciri becomes a Witcher, these dwarves will not appear again. Even then, they’re only teasing the HoS DLC. What’s the purpose if two out of three dwarves are dead by the time you discover them? Not to mention how tiresome and time-consuming the escort operation is. You must wake up the dwarf three times if he falls asleep. It doesn’t take long, but it slows down the process. You need to locate your daughter quickly before the Wild Hunt catches up with her. It doesn’t seem like the game is slowing down at the appropriate time. For these reasons, I believe the mission to locate the dwarves is the worst quest in the whole Witcher 3.
Do you agree with what I’m saying? Is it possible that I’m being too hard on this quest?

This is the worst game ever.
….as absolute squids put it. On the Friday before the Fourth of July week, I’m sitting at my desk, avoiding work like a sloop dodging a galleon with its lights on. So I’m going to tell you why I love this game so much. I’m just shy of 30 years old and the mother of a 10-month-old…

My 2018 game of the year is Dragon Quest 11.
I seldom play JRPGs, and by that I mean the old-school turn-based games. Other than being Japanese with certain RPG components, I don’t see how titles like NieR: Automata are JRPGs. It’s just like playing an Action RPG. But let’s go back to the topic. On Black Friday, I purchased Dragon Quest 11 with…

Will a game like Witcher 3 ever be released?
I don’t want to come off as snobby or anything (I probably will, but whatever), but I haven’t seen a game that compares to Witcher 3. I simply think Witcher 3 managed to strike a nice mix between fantastic visuals, an intriguing open world, excellent cutscenes, and real gameplay. The most of the games I’ve played…
