This is a quick and dirty guide to a few high level PvE builds for players who want to be the best they can be in the new Wasteland. It does not include a lot of explanation of mechanics, or explanation of why I chose certain abilities, or anything else that would spoil the fun of discovering these builds for yourself. But, to give a quick overview, the builds are designed around a couple of key abilities: Infinite Shuriken and the Shuriken Supers.
Stasis Hunter is a fun, but challenging, game. Stasis Hunter PvE Build is designed for PvE, and it is designed to be challenging, but not impossible to complete. This build is for someone who is looking for an entertaining build that is also challenging. This build will provide you with a lot of fun, some challenge, and some speed.
This is a build that can be used in a PvE environment for those who enjoy the infinite shuriken mechanic. Since the build focuses on those attacks, it doesn’t have a particular damage type or boss killer ability.
Due to Artifact modifications, this build will perform best during Season 15.
Hello there, my apologies if my Stasis Hunters build has previously been published, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it so far this season. If you love spamming shuriken and mowing down advertisements left and right, I strongly advise you to give it a go.
The goal of the construction is to:
- Quickly adds clarity to casual PvE material.
- Providing indirect team assistance by generating a large number of Orbs of Power
What you will receive:
- Shuriken are almost limitless if you don’t miss or hurl them at opponents with too much health.
- Regardless of Intellect, super regeneration is very fast.
- Build that focuses on abilities rather than weapons (but certain weapons synergize nicely)
- Survivability is good owing to frequent overshield bumps.
- Absolute Stasis dream power
- In case you lose your shuriken, use the Gambler’s Dodge.
- Any Grenade: I like Duskfield Grenade because of the large AoE it provides for trapping and freezing opponents for fast shards.
- a bleak harvest
- Touch of Winter or Winter’s Shroud
- Whisper of Hunger: greatly replenishes melee.
- Because you’ll be collecting orbs and wells anyhow, Whisper of Conduction is semi-optional, but it guarantees you don’t have to go chasing every stasis shard.
- Rime’s Whisper: continuous overshield to keep you in the battle.
- (If you’re going to use Touch of Winter) Whisper of Bonds: optional since it only works well with your Grenade and Super, not so well with your shuriken; depending on your playstyle, Fractures or Impetus are excellent options.
Okay, now we get to the meat of the construction. The armor components are simply recommendations based on how to best distribute mod costs, but you may rearrange them as you see fit.
(Any, Arc) Head:
- Elemental Charge (Any): feeds Heavy Handed and allows you to become CwL through Elemental wells.
- 2x Hands-on (Arc, Any): Artifact presently provides a non-elemental variant; each shuriken kill produces some super energy.
Arms (Void, Any):
- Melee Wellmaker (Any): produces Elemental Wells on charged melee kills to fuel all of your mod and ability synergies; may be removed once you have “Elemental Shards,” but I believe it’s worth keeping since it still generates a lot of super and ability energy.
- Any kind of Thermoclastic Blooming produces a massive number of Orbs of Power.
- Focusing Strike (Void) or Champion mod (Any): the former will rapidly recover your Gambler’s Dodge, which may be used to restore melee if you run out.
(Any, Arc) Torso:
- Well of Potency (Any): Artifact mod; provides you Super energy for each well you pick up, and this thing synergizes like crazy. This may get really crazy once the new “Elemental Shards” addon is released.
- Arc Resistance (Arc): This is an optional skill; only use it if you have Heavy Handed in this slot. Enables the Heavy Handed secondary perk, allowing you to use a One-Two Punch shotgun without having to worry about ammunition.
Legs (Stasis, Arc):
- If you’re CwL, Heavy Handed recovers half of your melee; this is one of the ways to keep your infinite shuriken running (swap this with Well of Potency if you use Stasis legs)
- 2x Invigoration (Arc): replenishes your melee by generating a continuous stream of orbs (note that this enables the secondary perk of Heavy Handed)
- OR 2x Orbs of Restoration (Stasis): operates in the same way as Invigoration, but restores less energy to abilities and doesn’t target melee (I use this personally)
(Stasis) Class Item:
- Elemental Shards (Stasis): As far as I’m aware, this will convert your Stasis shards into Elemental wells, possibly producing a ton of additional ability and super energy. The setup works well without it, but until you can get your hands on this mod, I suggest combining Font of Might with Traveler’s Chosen.
- Optional, but provides you Overload disruption on your melee, so it’s excellent for debuffing everything you come across, not only Champions.
- Depending on your loadout and the content you’re performing, you may use Utility Kickstart (Stasis), Resonance Siphon (Any), or Passive Guard (Any).
Use the Energy points you have left on your armor as you see appropriate.
Exotics/Weapons to Consider:
Star-eater Scales: Because the aforementioned build produces Orbs almost every time you kill anything, this Exotic will enable you to charge your Super even quicker and increase its damage even more. It will also allow you to keep scooping up orbs indefinitely, ensuring that nothing is wasted.
Traveler’s Chosen: a fantastic weapon that works well with this build since it can both restore abilities and transform into a stasis weapon to break past shields due to the catalyst providing Osmosis.
What’s not to like about Monte Carlo? It rapidly recovers melee and increases damage via melee kills–not what’s to like? The absence of catalyst/orb creation is a major flaw.
If you have a Legendary with Wellspring, any other exotic weapon, such as Lament with Passive Guard, would fit well into this setup.
Reload via melee kills and increase your melee or shotgun damage based on the second perk. Legendary Shotgun with Grave Robber + One-Two Punch or Trench Barrel: reload via melee kills and enhance your melee or shotgun damage depending on the second perk. It’s always useful to have in order to take out opponents with a lot of health. Because to Heavy Handed’s ammo return perk, ammo is seldom an issue.
