The MLB postseason is set and the games will begin on October 2nd. Here are some of the highlights for this year’s post season.
The mlb postseason bracket 2021 is the upcoming baseball playoffs. The matchups have been set for the entire MLB postseason.
The MLB Postseason Matchups for 2021 have been finalized.
For the first time since October, playoff baseball will be played in front of sold-out crowds in real home stadiums, rather than strange hub cities and based states with arbitrary capacity restrictions.
The ALDS and NLDS schedules have been established, with a few intriguing matchups. The Red Sox defeated the swing-happy, contact-apathetic Yankees Tuesday night, while the Dodgers squeaked past the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox
The Southsiders had an easy road to the playoffs, but they still played well enough to be serious contenders, just not against the 2017 World Series Champions.
The mid-season additions to Chicago’s second team had not worked out as well as they had anticipated. Craig Kimbrel has been a complete disaster, so why was he brought in in the first place? They already had Liam Hendricks and had acquired Ryan Tepera from the Cubs earlier in the season. Thankfully, that team had been constructed for a long time to win the AL Central, but that’s about it.
Houston still has the nucleus of the squad that won the World Series four years ago by “banging” their way there. Carlos Correa’s last voyage in orange and navy will very certainly continue to the ALCS. The White Sox have a deeper rotation, so don’t panic if Greinke only pitches two innings.
In 4 minutes, Houston.
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox
For the most of the season, two clubs that outperformed in the AL East this year play the greatest baseball in the league. The 2019 offseason marked a shift in course for the Red Sox, who were believed to be in the middle of a soft rebuild with Chris Sale recuperating for a significant portion of the season and sending away Mookie Betts and David Price to the Dodgers. The Red Sox were above or near the top of the historically hardest division in baseball, much to everyone’s amazement.
After winning the World Series in last year’s shortened season, the Tampa Bay Rays made some unusual adjustments. After trading their star pitcher, Blake Snell, to the San Diego Padres in the summer and putting together a team that did not inspire confidence – which looked eerily similar to the Red Sox roster – they went on a run that culminated in the best record and number-one seed in the American League. They have the chemistry, and they’ll slip past the Red Sox by virtue of being there and accomplishing it last year – except this time with a few extra weapons capable of putting holes in the Green Monster and rattling the Trop rafters.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves
The MLB’s huge virtue signal of relocating the All-Star Game from Truist Field seems to have backfired on the Braves, huh?
This may not be the most exciting of the two Senior Circuit games, but it will be an old-school battle of extremely rich rosters for baseball fans.
Milwaukee has the ability to pitch, plain and simple. They have a chance due to a couple of members of their pitching staff who are more than certain to get Cy Young consideration (John Hader and game-1 starter Corbin Burnes), but the Braves are constructed differently.
Don’t be fooled by the Braves’ postseason record; they’re legitimate. This squad can bang with the best of them, with a roster full of maturing youthful talent and a handful of veterans who can definitely go in the shape of Freddie Freeman and Adam Duvall. Unfortunately for the Braves, the injury bug has hit at the worst possible moment. They’ll very certainly return; the Brewers simply can’t be stopped this time.
Milwaukee will win in three games.
San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Everyone had been waiting for the Giants’ wagon’s wheels to come off all season. It never took place. Some die-hard Giants fans earned a lot of money this year since they won the hardest division on paper and were seldom out of first place. That was really unexpected.
Despite being engulfed in controversy as a result of false accusations leveled against their major offseason acquisition, Trevor Bauer, the Dodgers managed to post baseball’s second-best record. Yet, to get to this series, they had to play the Wild Card game, which is crazy.
The chariot, however, transforms back into a pumpkin at this point. The Giants won all three games this season and the season series 10-9, but let’s be honest: the Dodgers’ 1-2-3 punch will be Buehler-Urias-Scherzer, against the Giants’ Webb-Gausman-TBA??? If this goes 4, consider yourself lucky.
The Dodgers are up 3-1.
To be honest, I’m sure the figures will be wrong, but the outcome will be the same. We have some tough series ahead of us, so let’s do it again next week for the Championship series!
