Dell Lists First 4K Monitors with LG’s “IPS Black” Tech for Improved Contrast Ratios

LG’s newest “IPS Black” tech offers improved contrast ratios and a wider color gamut. Dell is the first computer maker to list its monitors with LG’s new technology, which has been praised by professionals in the field for years.

Dell has listed the first 4K monitors with LG’s “IPS Black” tech for improved contrast ratios. This technology allows for a better look at darker colors and less glare.

At CES last month, LG unveiled its “IPS Black” technology, a new high-end, premium LCD technology that promises to provide 35 percent deeper blacks than standard IPS displays. The UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Hub Monitor (U2723QE) and UltraSharp 32 4K USB-C Hub Monitor (U3223QE), both priced at $779.99 and $1,149.99, respectively, are the world’s first IPS Black displays. Both of these displays have a contrast ratio of 2000:1, which is higher than the 1000:1 observed in most IPS panels.

At CES 2022, LG Display will showcase IPS Black, its high-end and premium LCD technology for IT professionals. The contrast ratio is doubled with IPS Black, which offers 35 percent deeper blacks than previous IPS devices.
TUV Rheinland, a German certification organization, approved IPS Black for excellence in contrast ratio, viewing angle, and minimal blue light emissions in October 2021.
As IPS Black has been proven to emit “minimal blue light,” it produces visuals that are gentle on the eyes, making it suited for long-term use. Its borderless design on all sides of the display further enhances professional cooperation and detailed expressiveness.

These panels have a maximum brightness of 400 nits and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. They support 100% of the Rec 709 and sRGB color gamuts, as well as 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
They have USB connection, as indicated by their names. This is a comprehensive implementation; USB Type-C may be used for display data, power supply, and computer data.
Users receive a fully adjustable stand with height, pivot (rotation), swivel, and tilt adjustments to round out these anti-glare coated UltraSharp products.
